Mound Data Manager is a tool that can manage data in the context of other applications. You can take snapshots, delete, and move data from many of your favorite applications.
Let's say you want to make some changes to your Firefox settings or upgrade to a new version. You want to make sure your data is safe, so what is there to do? You could hunt down the location that Firefox stores data in, or you could simply take a snapshot with Mound. If you wanted to go back to that snapshot at any time, you could do so without ever affecting any other application.
The use cases are limitless: back up your game saves, save copies of your music library, save and deploy application settings, and anything else you might think up.
